Detailed Itinerary of 4 Days Tarangire Balloon and Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Day 1: Pick up, Tarangire National Park Game Drive, Walking Safari
Our Tanzania safari guide will meet you at your hotel or airport in Arusha, and then briefed about your safari. After, with your packed lunch box you will proceed for a drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is known for large herds of free ranging elephants, baobab trees that dot the savannah plains and a number of birds. You shall enjoy a game drive in Tarangire National Park where you shall see a variety of wild animals like elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, zebras, among so many others. Proceed to the lodge, check in, and enjoy a sumptuous lunch.
Relax at the lodge, and then head out for an evening walking safari in Tarangire National Park. A walking safari is a great way to come up close with nature, as you follow animal trucks in the guidance of an armed ranger. Return to the lodge later whilst enjoying an evening game drive; relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Hot Air Balloon Safari, Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Wake up for an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park as you drive to the starting point of your hot air balloon safari, enjoying nocturnal wild game viewing. Look out for nocturnal animals as they return from the night activities, and get to watch the Tarangire Park come to life while up in the skies. Search for animals that you may otherwise have missed on your previous game drive. The hot air balloon safari lasts 1 hour, after which you shall enjoy a sumptuous bush breakfast experience.
Enjoy yet another game drive as you drive to the camp. Relax as you wait for lunch, and then check out and transfer you to Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands. Check in at the lodge, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Maasai Bomas
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you will be driven to the famous Ngorongoro Crater where you will visit the world’s largest in-active caldera, which has beautiful views. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to over 25000 animals such as cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, leopards, lions, buffalos, kudu and many others, including all the famous African big five.
After descending about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater, you will also enjoy seeing flamingos in the Ngorongoro crater as you enjoy a game drive and take photos. Enjoy a picnic lunch stop in the Ngorongoro crater floor.
Thereafter, you interact with the Maasai tribe living in the Bomas, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area itself! Learn of their culture and way of life, how they co-exist with the wild animals. Drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour, Departure
Drive Time: Approx. 2 hours.
You will have breakfast at the lodge, check out and you will leave for Arusha with a stop in Mto wa Mbu town where you will visit craft shops and also interact with the locals. Arrive in time for your flight or hotel of stay in Arusha, which will mark the end of your 4 Days Tarangire Balloon and Ngorongoro Crater Safari.
