10 Days Kenya and Tanzania Wildlife safari is a trip around different destinations in Kenya and Tanzania where you will visit some of the popular wildlife viewing destinations as you look out for various wildlife species.

During the 10 days Kenya and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will start the safari in Nairobi city in Kenya where you will be picked up your guide. You will also visit Lake Nakuru national park during your safari and enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley.

You will also enjoy seeing wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, zebras, hippos, giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, wildebeests, cheetahs, antelopes, gazelles among others during your 10 days Kenya and Tanzania wildlife safari.

In Kenya, you will also visit the famous Masai Mara national reserve for more wildlife viewing experiences as you explore its savannah plains and look out for different wildlife species.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and optional city tour

Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for your safari. you will also have a short briefing before driving to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Le Maison Royale hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you will engage in an optional city tour around Nairobi city.

Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru national park
After having breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, Your guide will drive you to Lake Nakuru national park. You will enjoy seeing the Great Rift Valley on the way to the national park. On arrival in the national park, you will check in and have lunch at your lodge.

After lunch, you will engage in a game drive and enjoy seeing wildlife species as well as birds such as flamingos along the shores of Lake Nakuru. Wildlife species in Lake Nakuru national park include rhinos, lion, leopard, waterbuck, giraffe, hyena, buffalo, baboons, vervet monkeys, gazelles. You will return to your lodge after your game drive for dinner and overnight at Zziwa bush lodge.

Day 3; Drive to Masai Mara national reserve

On the 3rd day of your safari, after having breakfast at your lodge, you will start your drive to Masai Mara national reserve. You will check in and prepare to have lunch at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve as you prepare for a game drive to look out for wildlife species like the big 5 such as elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos.

The famous Masai Mara game reserve is also known for the wildebeest migration and also the Big Five and over 450 species of birds, and is also one of the most visited reserves in Africa. Masai Mara national reserve’s plains are made up of open Savannah, with patches of acacia woodland. You will enjoy a game drive in the national park after lunch at your lodge. After your game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara camp.

Day 4; Full day in Masai Mara national reserve

After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will go for a morning game drive in Masai Mara national reserve. Wildlife species in the Masai Mara national reserve includes lions, zebras, leopards, elephants, giraffes, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, wildebeests, antelopes, hippos and many more. After your morning game drive, you will have your lunch.

After lunch you will go for an evening game drive in search for more wildlife species and also to enjoy the beautiful sunset and the scenery as you drive around the savannah plains in Masai Mara national reserve. Dinner and overnight will be at Sentrim Mara camp.

Day 5; Drive from Masai Mara to Serengeti national park

After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will prepare to transfer to Tanzania through Isebania border to Serengeti National park which is a home of the big cats and also the big 5 like lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and rhinos. You will arrive in the park late and proceed to your lodge in Serengeti national park for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 6 and day 7; Full day Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast which will be served at your lodge in Serengeti national park before your morning game drive which will be filled with an exciting wildlife viewing experience since the wildlife species are more active during the morning. As you drive around the endless savannah plains of the central part of Serengeti national park, you will enjoy the sunset and also look out for different wildlife species.

Lunch will be served after your morning game drive in Serengeti national park. You will engage in an evening game drive later in the day after relaxing and you will explore more of Serengeti national park in search of wildlife species such as the big five which includes lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and elephants and also look out for other wildlife and bird species like giraffes, hippos, cheetahs, hartebeests, antelopes and zebras among others. You will return to your lodge after your evening game drive for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 8; Drive to Ngorongoro

After having breakfast on the 8th day of your safari, you will be driven to Ngorongoro conservation area. The world’s largest in active caldera is another description of the Ngorongoro crater which is also home to numerous wildlife species including many predators like lions, leopards and cheetahs. You will have lunch before proceeding to descend 600 meters into the crater.

You will engage in a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater and enjoy looking out for wildlife species and also enjoy seeing different attractions such as Lake Magadi which is located in the crater where you will see flamingos. You will also enjoy the beautiful views around the Ngorongoro crater during your game drive. Wildlife species which can be seen around the Ngorongoro crater include elephants, wildebeest, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, hartebeests, waterbucks, antelopes and many others.

You will return to your lodge after your game viewing experience and you will have your dinner and to spend the night at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 9; Drive to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, you will prepare for your transfer to Lake Manyara national park. This national park is famous for tree climbing lions which can be spotted during a safari in Lake Manyara national park. You will also enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley during your safari.

You will have lunch after checking in at your lodge, you will also engage in an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara national park to explore the national park and look out for different wildlife and bird species like impalas, zebras, hippos, giraffes, elephants, buffalos among others. You will have dinner and spend the night at Twiga lodge.

Day 10; Transfer to Arusha

After breakfast at your lodge, you will continue your journey to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at the airport which will mark the end of your safari.
