The Ngorongoro Conservation Area shall have you descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest caldera in the world, filled with well over 25000 animals, including the African big five: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo.
You shall spot a variety of other animals in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, like giraffes, wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, and elands, among many others. Day 1: Pick up, Ol Doinyo Lengai Hike
Day 2: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, Crater Game drive

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up, Ol Doinyo Lengai Hike
You shall be picked up by our driver guide, and then transferred to the lodge. Ol Doinyo Lengai, the sacred mountain of the Maasai people, which you will get to climb to the edge of its crater. The climb of this active volcano takes place at night. Departure from the camp is around 11 pm. You will start climbing around midnight, and you will be at the top around 5 am. You can rest while waiting for the beautiful sunrise to finally admire the wide plain of Serengeti that will stretch in front of you.
The descent must be done before it gets too hot, because the sun heats very quickly the slopes composed of volcanic ash very quickly. The round trip takes 10-11 hours.

Day 2: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, crater game drive
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you shall proceed for a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Crater. You shall embark on a game drive around the Ngorongoro conservation area in search of wildlife species at the crater, like eland, zebras, warthogs, wildebeest, buffaloes, and elephants, among others. You will also enjoy the beautiful views around the crater, and look out for flamingos along the shores of the lake. Thereafter, you shall return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure
After breakfast enjoyed at leisure, you shall proceed for a transfer to Arusha, where your guide will drop you off at your place of stay.
