Crater Rim View lodge is a mid-range accommodation (3-star) found in Karatu, 4 miles from sumawe complex, 6 km from the center of Karatu and close to the Ngorongoro conservation area (6 km) in Tanzania. The lodge is situated between Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, in an ideal location for exploring the Karatu areas, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, and Lake Eyasi.
How to get there: It takes approximately 3-4 hours to drive on a tarmac road from Arusha to the lodge through Mayukuni and Karatu, and 45 minutes to fly to the nearby Lake Manyara airstrip, followed by a 40-minute drive to the lodge.

Crater Rim View Lodge consists of over 10 spacious and comfortable rooms built in an African architectural style for comfort.
Rooms are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, private hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, comfortable tropical wooden beds with clean and washed bedding, complementary bottled water, free toiletries, a 24/7 front desk, extinguishers, satellites, white pillows, towels , slippers mention but a few.
Rooms feature terraces, verandas, and sitting areas that overlook the stunning views of the gardens, crater rim, and surrounding area.
The lodge offers single beds for an individual, double/twin for sharing or a couple, as well as triple/family rooming options.

About the park
Ngorongoro Crater is located in the northern part of Tanzania, near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the Great Rift Valley, covering a total area of 8,292 km and is 3 million years old. The crater is the best place in East Africa with beautiful, breathtaking Views.
The park features various attractions, including the wildebeest migration from the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Salei Plains, Olkarien Gorge, diverse flora and fauna, stunning scenery, and many more.
The park offers different categories of accommodation, including budget, mid-range, and luxury options that are convenient and affordable for guests visiting the area. The park contains short grasses with more highlands and other beautiful volcanoes. The area have over 25,000 large animals, including 26 black rhinos and over 100 number of lions, 7,000 wild beasts, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland and 3,000 Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles.
The park is home to various animals, including the big five mammals of the world: lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard, rhino, zebra, impala, and antelope, as well as different bird species. The Park gives a stunning view of the Ngorongoro Crater since it’s the largest caldera in the world and the surrounding areas. There are more masaai mara pastoralists in Ngorongoro park . June –july and late January and February are the best months to travel in Tanzania for a safari, especially the Ngorongoro side.
