4 Days Ngorongoro Wildebeest safari is a safari experience in Ndutu and the famous Ngorongoro crater where you will enjoy the calving season which takes place during the months of December to march.
The wildebeest migration is one of the natural wonders of the world which is the annual movement of over 2 million wildebeests in search of greener pasture and water.
Your 4 days Ndutu wildebeest safari will start in Arusha where you will be picked up by your guide and the next day proceed to Ndutu to enjoy your wildlife viewing experience.
During the 4 days Ndutu wildebeest safari, you will also visit the Ngorongoro crater which is home to the big 5 and also the world’s largest inactive caldera. You will engage in a game drive in the crater to look out for different wildlife species and also enjoy seeing flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Arusha
Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for your safari. You will proceed to your hotel for check in and dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa. Depending on your time of arrival in Arusha, you will have an optional visit to Arusha national park where you will engage in a walking safari and later return to your lodge.
Day 2; drive to Ndutu
Breakfast will be served at your hotel in Arusha and after you have had breakfast you will be driven by your guide to the Ndutu area. You will check in at your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will engage in an afternoon game drive to explore the Ndutu area and look out for the big cats like lions, leopards and cheetahs as well as other wildlife species in the savannah plains. Many other predators can be seen around Ndutu especially during the wildebeest migration in the calving season. Your dinner and overnight will be at Ndutu safari lodge.
Day 3; full day in Ndutu
After breakfast at your lodge, you will enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in the Ndutu area where you will enjoy seeing wildebeests, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, zebras, elands, gazelles, lions, leopards, cheetahs among others.
The Ndutu area is known for the calving season which is a time during the wildebeest migration when over 8000 wildebeests are born daily. You will have lunch after your morning game viewing experience and after lunch, you will have another game drive around Ndutu. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ndutu safari lodge.
Day 4; crater tour and drive to Arusha
On the last day of your safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge ahead of your transfer to Ngorongoro crater where you will enjoy beautiful views around the crater as you look out for wildlife species during your game drive such as the big 5 like elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos.
During your game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, you will also look out for wildlife species such as black rhinos, cheetahs, waterbucks, antelopes, hyenas, warthogs, elands, kudu among others. You will be driven to Arusha after your experience and your guide will drop you off which will bring your 4 days Ndutu wildebeest safari to an end.
