Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: pick up and city tour
Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for your safari before briefing you about your 5 days Ngorongoro and Tarangire safari. You will continue your drive to your hotel in Arusha where you will check in and have your lunch.
After lunch, you will have a city tour Arusha, where you will visit different places around the city such as the local market, the museum, art and craft shops and you, will also interact with the locals to get to know about their way of life. You will be driven back to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 2; drive to Tarangire national park
You will start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Arusha before checking out ahead of your journey to Tarangire national park. You will engage in an en route game drive on the way to your lodge where you will have your lunch.
After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive during which you will explore the wilderness as you search for different wildlife species and enjoy the scenery around which is made up of savannah plains and baobab trees. Some of the wildlife species you will see grazing and roaming around the destination include elephants, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, antelopes, cheetahs, buffalos as well as many bird species. After your afternoon game drive, your guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.
Day 3; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area
You will have breakfast before checking out of the lodge in Tarangire national park. You will continue your drive to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will proceed to your lodge for lunch before descending into the crater.
The Ngorongoro crater is known for its large concentration of wildlife species as well as for having breathtaking scenery where wildlife species such as elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, hippos, gazelles, antelopes, wildebeests, hartebeests, hyenas, impalas, elands, dik dik, kudu, oryx among others roam freely. You will also enjoy seeing flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi which is located in the crater and is a good bird watching location. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.
Day 4; drive to Arusha national park
Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Ngorongoro conservation area and then you will continue your journey to Arusha where you will drive around on the way to your hotel where you will have your lunch and relax as you enjoy the hospitality at your hotel.
You will also visit Arusha national park which is located in a close proximity to Arusha town which is the starting point for different trips to the northern parts of Tanzania. During your visit to the national park, you will enjoy seeing wildlife species such as zebras, buffalos, gazelles, black and white colobus monkeys as well as different bird species. At the end of the 4th day of your safari, you will retire for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 5; departure
On the last day of your safari, you will have breakfast and then check out of your hotel. Your guide will drive you to the airport which will mark the end of your safari.
