Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Tarangire National Park, Game Drive
Your Tanzania safari guide will meet you at your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for the safari. He will brief you about your safari at hand, and will proceed on a transfer to Tarangire national park which is known for its large herds of elephants. You will also look out for the various wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, hartebeest, wildebeest, elands, impalas and many bird species.

You will also enjoy beautiful views of the baobab and acacia trees where the wildlife species take shelter. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Twiga Campsite for budget/ Heritage Manyara Safari Lodge for mid-range.

Day 2: Lake Manyara national park Game Drive, Guided Walking Safari

You will have breakfast at your lodge and with your packed lunches, you will proceed into the wilderness of the national park to engage in a morning game drive. You will enjoy looking out for wildlife species during your safari such as elephants, dik dik, leopards, buffalos, chance to see the tree climbing lions, gazelles among others. This national park also has over 400 bird species and you will see different birds during your safari.

After having a picnic lunch, you will relax and later in the late afternoon hours engage in a guided walking safari inside Lake Manyara National Park, to explore more attractions and enjoy seeing wildlife species. You will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park, Game Drive

Drive Time: Approx. 5 hours

After breakfast, with your packed lunch you will proceed to transfer to Serengeti National Park, the much sought after Tanzania national park! Look out for wild game species such as zebras, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, antelopes among others with a mini game drive. Look out for wildlife still as you drive to your camp of stay; enjoying amazing sunset views as well! Day 4: Full day in Serengeti National Park

You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will also enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can be seen grazing around the national park. There are over 4000 lions in Serengeti National Park, you shall see many of them and in prides too!

After your morning game drive, you will have lunch and later engage in another game drive and enjoy looking out for wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti national park like elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos among others. You will have dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Olduvai Gorge Visit, Crater Rim Walk

You will have breakfast before leaving Serengeti national park and driving to your next wildlife viewing destination which is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy an Ol Duvai Gorge visit for a lesson through history of mankind. Enjoy a game drive in the conservation area as you drive to your lodge for check in and an overnight stay at Eileen’s Tree Inn for Budget, Hhando Coffee Lodge for Mid-range.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Maasai Bomas Visit

After breakfast, with your packed lunch head out for full day game drive in the crater. You will descend 600 meters into the crater which is home to numerous wildlife species like the big 5 which includes lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and elephants. Other wildlife species in Ngorongoro include hyenas, wildebeests, antelopes, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs among others.

There are also different bird species which can be spotted around Ngorongoro crater like ostriches as well as flamingos common along the shores of Lake Magadi. After your game drive around the Ngorongoro crater, you will enjoy a Maasai Bomas visit to interact with the locals, and then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 7: Departure, Visit Meserani Snake Park
