7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari takes place across different national parks in the northern part of Tanzania such as Serengeti national park, Tarangire national park, and the Ngorongoro conservation area. During the 7 days Tanzania safari, you will enjoy various experiences like seeing the big five wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards in Serengeti national park and in the Ngorongoro conservation area.

You will also engage in game drives during your 7 days Tanzania safari to see the various wildlife species like wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, klipspringers, elands, impalas, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs and many others as well as various bird species. The 7 days safari in Tanzania will begin with pick up from Kilimanjaro international airport or your hotel and also end in Arusha.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Tarangire national park

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, your guide will welcome you and you will also have a short briefing of your 7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari. You will continue to Tarangire national park where you will engage in game viewing activities. Tarangire national park has over 500 bird species which can be seen during a safari and many herds of elephants.

You will have lunch at your lodge in Tarangire national park during your 7 days Tanzania safari and later enjoy an afternoon game drive to explore the national park. You will see a variety of wildlife species as you are driven around the national park such as elephants, elands, impalas, lions, leopards, giraffes, antelopes and many others. Dinner and overnight will be at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 2; morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park

After having breakfast at your lodge in Tarangire national park, you will have a morning game drive to explore more of the national park as you look out for various wildlife and bird species in the savannah plains such as elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalos, elands, impalas, klipspringers and many others. You will continue your drive to Serengeti national park for more game drives.

During your 7 days safari in Serengeti national park which is the oldest national park in Tanzania, you will start with lunch at your lodge before heading out for an afternoon game drive. After the afternoon game drive, you will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.

Day 3; morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare to explore the vast savannah plains of the national park in search of various wildlife species like wildebeests, lions, leopards, zebras, buffalos, kudu, impalas, gazelles, dik dik, elephants, hippos, giraffes and many others. You will enjoy your packed lunches in the national park and later proceed with your game viewing experiences in Serengeti national park.

During your day 3 of the safari, you will also engage in an afternoon game drive during which you will enjoy seeing attractions around Serengeti national park like the kopjes which can be seen around the national park like the Simba kopjes where lions can be seen sitting at the top of the rocks. You will be driven back to your lodge as you enjoy the sunset and you will have your dinner and spend the night at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.

Day 4; full day in Serengeti national park

On the 4th day of your 7 days Tanzania safari, you will start your day with breakfast and then head into the endless plains of Serengeti national park for a morning game drive during which you will see a variety of wildlife species which are very active at this time of day. Serengeti national park is known for the wildebeest migration which is a natural wonder which involves movement of over 2 million wildebeests annually across the Mara- Serengeti ecosystem.

You will also enjoy watching as the predators like lions, leopards and cheetahs hunt their prey around the savannah plains. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.

Day 5; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area

You will have breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park and you will proceed to Ngorongoro conservation area for more wildlife viewing experiences. The Ngorongoro conservation area covers about 8,292 square kilometers and is home to a variety of wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos and rhinos. You will have lunch at your lodge before enjoying a wildlife viewing experience around Ngorongoro conservation area.

You will also see other wildlife species like antelopes, giraffes, elands, impalas, gazelles, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras and many others during your 7 days Tanzania safari. You will spend the night and have your dinner at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 6; Ngorongoro crater tour

After having breakfast at your lodge during the 7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari, your guide will drive you for a Ngorongoro crater tour where you will descend about 600 meters deep into the world’s largest inactive caldera which is home to a variety of wildlife species and is known for its large concentration of predators like lions, leopards and cheetahs.

With your packed lunches, you will explore the Ngorongoro crater and enjoy the beautiful views and also see various wildlife species like wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, elephants, hippos, elands, hyenas, warthogs and many others. You will also enjoy seeing flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi which is found in the Ngorongoro crater. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 7; Departure

On the last day of your 7 days Tanzania safari,, you will have breakfast at your lodge and your guide will drive you back to Arusha and you will be dropped off at the airport which will bring your safari to an end.
