Day 1: Arrival

Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for your safari before briefing you about your 8 Days Tanzania Birding and Wildlife Safari. You will continue your drive to your hotel in Arusha.

Depending on your time of arrival, you will have a city tour in Arusha, where you will visit different places around the city such as the local market, the museum, art and craft shops and you, will also interact with the locals to get to know about their way of life. You will be driven back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

Breakfast will be served at the lodge, and then drive to Arusha National Park where you which is the starting point for different trips to the northern parts of Tanzania. During your visit to the national park, you will enjoy seeing wildlife species such as zebras, buffalos, gazelles, black and white colobus monkeys as well as different bird species. You will start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Arusha before checking out ahead of your journey to Tarangire National Park. You will engage in an en route game drive on the way to your lodge where you will have your lunch.

Tarangire National Park is home to well over 500 bird species, spread over the vast savannah plains dotted by the great baobab trees. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Take a Walking safari in Tarangire National Park for an opportunity to come up close with nature and animals like giraffes, zebras, among so many others. Some of the bird species you may see in Tarangire National Park include Little Swift listed as Vulnerable by the ICUN, Kori Bustards, Gray Crowned-Crane, Red-knobbed Coot, Small Buttonquail, among so many others. Day 4: Birding and Game Safari in Tarangire National Park

As the sun rises step out for a birding excursion in Tarangire National Park. Look out for the Yellow-necked Spurfowl, Northern Pied Babbler, Woodland Kingfisher, Pygmy Batis, White Crowned Shrike, Red-billed Hornbill, African Marsh Harrier, Ashy Starling, Black Headed Heron, among so many others.

You will have breakfast before checking out of the lodge in Tarangire National Park. You will continue your drive to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will proceed to your lodge for lunch before descending into the crater. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, referred to as the Garden of Eden by many travelers. Ngorongoro Conservation Area inhabits over 500 bird species, and well over 25,000 animals.

Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Relax at the lodge, and later visit the Cultural Bomas for an amazing cultural experience. Return to the lodge thereafter for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Birding and Game Safari in Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at the lodge you shall drive to the Crater rim with magnificent views, before descending it enjoying an opportunity to see elephants, lions, buffalos, zebras, among so many others. Thereafter head to the crater a bird’s haven for birdlife. Look out for bird species like the Secretary Bird, Gray Crowned Cranes, Kori Bustards, Fischer’s Sparrow Lark, Tawny Eagle, Lesser Spatted Eagle, Brown Snake-Eagle, Gabar Goshawk, Lapped-faced Vulture, White-headed Vulture, among so many others.
