Non east African citizens visiting Arusha national park are charged park entrance fees of 50 USD in the peak season and 45 USD in the low season for visitors above the age of 16 years while children aged between 5 and 15 years are charged park entrance fee of 15 USD.

Expatriates or residents visiting Arusha national park are charged park entrance fee of 25 USD in the peak season and 22.5 USD in the low season for adults above the age of 16 years while children aged between 5 and 15 years are charged park entrance fee of 7.5 USD.

Arusha national park fees for Tanzanians and East African citizens is 10,000 Tanzania shillings for those above the age of 16 years while children aged between 5 and 15 years are charged park entrance fee of 2,000 Tanzania shillings.

During safaris to Arusha national park, children below the age of 5 years are not charged park entrance fee.

Attractions around Arusha national park

Arusha national park has many attractions which can be seen during Tanzania safaris and they include the following;

Mount Meru

Mount Meru is the second highest mountain in Tanzania at an altitude of 4566 meters which is also the fourth highest mountain in Africa.

Hiking is among the activities which can be seen during tours around Arusha national park and when hiking on Mount Meru, it takes 4 days to hike to the summit of the mountain and descend. This hike starts from Momella gate to Miriakamba hut, from Miriakamba hut to Saddle hut, from saddle hut to the peak and back to Miriakamba hut and on the last day from Miriakamba hut to Momella gate.

Hiking on Mount Meru during a safari in Tanzania is a good way for climbers to prepare for an adventure on Mount Kilimanjaro which is the highest mountain in Africa at 5895 meters and it is located a short drive from Arusha national park.

Ngurdoto crater

Meru waterfalls
