6 Days Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro & Serengeti Safari is the wildlife viewing safari which will begin in Arusha and then continue to Lake Manyara national park, Ngorongoro conservation area where you will visit the Ngorongoro crater, Ndutu area and Serengeti national park.

You will engage in game drives during your visit to the different locations like Serengeti national park, Lake Manyara national park, Ndutu area, Ngorongoro crater as you enjoy looking for different wildlife species at the destination.

Your safari will be around different destinations in the northern part of Tanzania and at the end of your 6 days Ndutu and Serengeti safari, you will be driven to Arusha which will bring your safari to an end.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park

You will be picked up from the airport by your guide who will welcome you and brief you shortly about your 6 days Ndutu and Serengeti safari. After your briefing, you will proceed to Lake Manyara national park which is located at the base of the Great Rift Valley. This national park is known for tree climbing lions which can be spotted during a safari. You will have a stop in Mto wa mbu town for a guided village walk to interact with the local community and visit the farms and traditional homesteads.

After your experience in Mto wa mbu town, you will be driven to lake Manyara national park where you will check in at your lodge for lunch. You will engage in an afternoon game drive to search for the different wildlife species in the national park such as elephants, antelopes, gazelles, waterbucks, monkeys among others. Your dinner and overnight will be at your lodge after your game drive.

Day 2; transfer to Ngorongoro crater

After having breakfast at your lodge, you will prepare to be driven to the Ngorongoro conservation area where you will arrive in time to enjoy lunch. After lunch, you will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for wildlife viewing experiences. You will also enjoy searching for the wildlife species like wildebeests, zebras, hyenas, lions, leopards, cheetahs, lions, buffalos, hippos, warthogs, elephants among others as you look explore the crater floor and its beautiful landscape.

You will also enjoy seeing different attractions like the shallow alkaline lake south west of the Ngorongoro crater called Lake Magadi where you will see flamingos. You will be driven back to your lodge after this game viewing experience on your 6 days Ndutu and Serengeti safari for dinner and overnight.

Day 3; drive to Ndutu area

Breakfast will be served at your lodge on the 3rd day of your safari as you prepare to transfer to the Ndutu area in the Ngorongoro conservation area. The Ndutu area is known for the calving season which takes place during the wildebeest migration in the months of January to March when over 8000 wildebeests are born in the grassy plains. Many predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs among others can also be seen during this calving season as they prey on the unknowing wildebeests.

You will have lunch at your lodge as you prepare for a game drive around the Ndutu area. You will explore the Ndutu area as you search for wildlife species like elephants, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes among others. You will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your game drive.

Day 4; full day in Ndutu area

After breakfast at your lodge, you will have a full day of game viewing in the Ndutu area. This Ndutu area is made up of grasslands, swamps, and woodlands and is a good location to see a variety of predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs as well as other wildlife species like wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, hyenas among others.

You will have lunch before engaging in another game drive around the Ndutu area. You will enjoy the scenery around as you enjoy seeing the wildebeests in the savannah plains. Your dinner and overnight will be at your lodge after your game drive.

Day 5; transfer to Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to visit Serengeti national park where you will drive around the endless plains of the national park as you search for wildlife species like the big 5 which includes elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos. You will also see other wildlife species like wildebeests, hippos, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, impalas, waterbucks among others.

You will also see attractions like the kopjes which are rock outcrops in Serengeti national park such as the Simba kopjes where you will see lions. You will be driven to your lodge after your game drive for dinner and overnight.

Day 6; drive to Arusha

On the last day of your 6 Days Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro & Serengeti Safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge and have an en-route game drive in Serengeti national park to look out for different wildlife species on your way to Arusha where you will be dropped off at the airport which will bring your safari to an end.
