9 Days Tanzania Wildebeest Migration Safari is an adventure that takes place across the northern part of Tanzania starting with pi up in Arusha where you will spend the first night enjoying the hospitality on the first night on your Tanzania safari.

You will visit Tarangire national park during your 9 days wildebeest migration safari and enjoy views of the ancient baobab trees as well as many elephants as they move around the national park in their herds.

During your 9 day wildebeest migration safari, you will also visit Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti national park where you will witness the wildebeests migration as over 5 million wildebeests move across the savannah plains of the national park. Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to hotel in Arusha

Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will welcome you and drive you to your hotel in Arusha where you will spend the 1st night of your 9 days wildebeest migration safari in the northern part of Tanzania.

You will drive around Arusha town and enjoy the views around on the way to your hotel for dinner and overnight which will be at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.

Day 2; drive to Tarangire national park

After having your breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will be met by your guide for your drive to Tarangire national park which is home to a large number of elephants and is also known for ancient baobab trees which you will see during your game drives while on your 9 days wildebeest migration safari. You will have your lunch after checking in at your lodge in the national park.

You will also engage in an afternoon game drive during your 9 day wildebeest migration safari in Tarangire national park. Some of the wildlife species you will see during your safari in the national park include zebras, buffalos, wildebeests, impalas, elands, lions, leopards as well as many bird species. You will return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and to spend the night at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 3; morning and afternoon game drives in Tarangire national park

On the 3rd day of your 9 days wildebeest migration safari, you will engage in morning and afternoon game drives to experience the beauty of Tarangire national park as you search for the different wildlife species and enjoy seeing the attractions around the national park. You will start with breakfast at your lodge and then your guide will drive you around the national park.

After returning to your lodge from the morning game drive, you will have your lunch. You will later head out for another game drive to see wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, elands, waterbucks, impalas, zebras and many others. Dinner and overnight will be as the day before at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 4; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area

You will have breakfast at your lodge ahead of your drive to Ngorongoro conservation area which is another destination you will visit during your 9 days wildebeest migration safari in Tanzania. During your visit to Ngorongoro crater, you will also enjoy the amazing scenery as you explore the world’s largest caldera. Lunch will be served at your lodge after you check in upon arrival.

You will also visit attractions like Lake Magadi which is found in Ngorongoro crater and has a big number of flamingos along its shores. Hippos, elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elands, wildebeests, waterbucks, zebras, antelopes and many others are among the wildlife species which can be seen in Ngorongoro crater during your Tanzania safari. Your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 5; drive to Serengeti national park

After having breakfast at your lodge in Ngorongoro conservation area, you will be driven by your guide to Serengeti national park where you will check in and prepare to have your lunch ahead of your wildlife viewing activities during your 9 days wildebeest migration safari.

Serengeti national park is also known for the big five which include lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos and leopards. There are many other wildlife species which you will see during your game drive in Serengeti national park and they include the wildebeests, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks, elands, impalas, gazelles and many others. You will have dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges at the end of the day.

Day 6 to 8; wildebeest migration experience in Serengeti national park

After having breakfast at your lodge, you will prepare to begin your wildebeest migration experience in Serengeti national park where you will drive around the savannah plains in the national park as you enjoy seeing the large herds of wildebeests grazing. Many predators like lions can also be seen near the grazing area of the wildebeests as they wait to attack the wildebeests.

You will drive around the Grumeti area as you enjoy watching the wildebeests struggle to cross the river where many crocodiles lie in wait. The wildebeest migration not only takes place in Serengeti national park but also in Masai Mara national reserve in Kenya. Some of the wildebeests make it across the lake while others drown in the river. You will be driven back to your lodge after this experience for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 9; departure

On the last day of your 9 days wildebeest safari in Serengeti national park, you will start your day with breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your drive to Arusha where you will be dropped off at the airport and your trip will come to an end.
